The following information summarizes the forms you’ll be sent to complete to join our benefit programs.

In addition to the medical enrollment forms, there are also employment forms you must complete to become an employee under the One Person Group Program. Becoming an employee in no way limits how you conduct your business, or the amount of your self-employment income that you may continue to earn. You’ll continue to operate as you always have. You’re merely entering into an arrangement with us so that you may receive benefits.

Although the concept of obtaining benefits by becoming an employee under the One Person Group Program may be new to you, PEOs currently provide benefits to thousands of individuals.

  • We are licensed by the New York State Department of Labor as a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and our program has been approved by the New York State Department of Insurance. We are permitted to provide our services to individuals or companies within all states.
  • Although there are various forms you must complete when you sign up, on an ongoing basis we’ll handle most administrative functions with little action required by you.
  • We pay you twice a month (on the 15th and the last day of a month), and deduct from your salary estimated federal and state taxes and your portion of the cost of your benefits.
  • We withdraw an amount from your checking account each month (starting on the 15th of the prior month) equal to your salary, the cost to provide your benefits, and our overhead and administrative expenses.
  • The fee you pay us may be deductible as an ordinary business expense.
  • The group premiums we pay are less than what you would pay to purchase similar coverage as an individual. As a result, you’re able to obtain insurance at rates comparable to those paid by large corporations.
  • Our plan is fully insured under New York State law.
